Golden Vessel is back this week with his next single, ‘pockets full of rocks’ (feat. Mallrat & Emerson Leif).

Over the past year, Golden Vessel has been busy crafting his next album, everythingeverydayeverything. Scheduled for release in June, we previously heard the title track, ‘eee.’ That track featured a collaboration with Kalem Rei Woo & Abraham Tilbury. This time around, Golden Vessel has teamed up with some old friends — Mallrat and Emerson Leif for a song called, ‘pockets full of rocks.’

“‘pockets full of rocks’ started as an idea between Grace (Mallrat) and myself. It was a half-idea that didn’t really have a home for a while. Grace and I have a joke that I always take the scraps/half-ideas from our sessions together and turn them into Golden Vessel songs… That’s how our songs ‘littlebitwild’ & ‘forever’ came together as well. I feel I just really like collaging ideas together, and Grace always leaves me with the nicest ideas to run with.”

Golden Vessel describes the moment of clarity and inspiration for not only the track, but for the album as a whole: “I knew I had to pair this particular idea with something great to be able to turn it into a full song. I found those Emerson Leif vocals on my laptop from a session we did together almost three years ago and as soon as I cut the two parts together, I had such a big moment of clarity for the whole album and direction the project was heading in.”

‘pockets full of rocks’ is available everywhere now via sumoclic. everythingeverydayeverything is due out in June of 2022.
