Brisbane’s Golden Vessel releases his first single of 2022, ‘eee’
Australian artist Maxwell Byrne is back with his first single of 2022 as Golden Vessel.
Offering a unique blend of electronic, indie-rock, and alternative pop sounds, Golden Vessel has released his first single off his upcoming album, everythingeverydayeverything. ‘eee’ is a hook-driven song about spirituality’s role in life. Written during his road trip across the United States in 2020, Maxwell offers the following insight into how the song came about,
“I wrote ‘eee’ in the back of my car in Flagstaff, Arizona, which started as a poem about finding connection or meaning within everything. I think I was desperately listening to as many podcasts and reading books/articles as possible, but what was speaking to me the most was being out in nature and taking the time to enjoy my surroundings.”
The track features a collaboration with Kalem Rei Woo & Abraham Tilbury. Maxwell describes how the others contributed to the track,
“After writing that poem & song, I worked with Abraham, and we pieced together ‘eee’ drawing from a few different ideas. I randomly dragged in an old vocal I had of rei so la singing “everything everyday everything” and it seemed to encompass what my verses were about and ended up becoming the name of the album.”
‘eee’ is available everywhere now via sumoclic while everythingeverydayeverything is due out in June of 2022.
If you enjoyed this track, we also covered Maxwell Byrne’s other project, 1tbsp from October of 2021.
