‘Strawberry Dream’ is out now via Universal Music Norway / Little Daggers Records. ELLE is scheduled for release on June 7, 2024, and will feature previously released singles ‘Heartbreak In The Making,’ ‘Same Again (For Love),’ and ‘Ray-Bans.’

Out today, ‘Strawberry Dream’ encapsulates Dagny’s signature bright and expansive electro-pop sound, crafted alongside sibling writing and production duo Cato Sundberg and Kent Sundberg. The track narrates a tale of realization and yearning, evoking the essence of a romantic comedy where the protagonist discovers hidden love right under their nose. Dagny’s inspiration for the song stems from the nostalgia of youthful connections and the sweetness of cherished memories.

Of the new single’s inspiration Dagny shared:

“If we were in a romantic comedy movie, then Strawberry Dream would soundtrack the scene where the main character realises “their person” has been there, right under their nose, the entire time, and now’s the time for action. A bit like my personal favourite romcom character; Bridget Jones, and her Mark. They say something like 70 percent of people have met the love of their life before aged 21. Mindblowing facts to me, but who knows? The title is undoubtedly inspired by one of my favourite pick and mix candy bites, the Strawberry Dream.”

ELLE is the inaugural installment in a trilogy of mini-albums, each dissecting specific facets of Dagny’s psyche. It serves as the long-awaited follow-up to her acclaimed 2020 debut full-length album, Strangers / Lovers. For ELLE, Dagny collaborated with esteemed songwriters such as Nick Hahn, Mozella, Oliver Lundström, and Maria Hazell, resulting in an emotionally dynamic and compelling collection of tracks.

‘Strawberry Dream’ is out now.
