Arky Waters pushes jungle and DnB limits on new single ‘UGETME?’
Arky Waters releases his latest single, ‘UGETME?,’ out now via Mammal Sounds Records, as the latest preview of his forthcoming debut album.
The Australian producer and DJ continues his move deeper into club-focused electronic music with ‘UGETME?,’ a track that blends classic jungle influences with the force of modern drum and bass. Built around rapid-fire breakbeats, dark low-end pressure, and a constant sense of forward momentum, the single is designed with the dance floor in mind. Drawing from dance, jungle, and DnB, the track sits between high-energy euphoria and raw intensity, leaning into movement and pace rather than restraint. ‘UGETME?’ follows recent singles ‘Holdin On’ and ‘Ay Papi,’ further defining the sound Arky Waters has been steadily shaping as he heads toward his debut full-length release.
Speaking about the track, Arky Waters said:
“I wanted to make a hard jungle track for live use, at the time I made this I couldn’t find much jungle that bridged the line between hard dnb and something more traditional. I love the chaos and old school vibes of jungle breaks but sometimes when you play it out with a bunch of dnb it kind of dips the energy a little, so the goal here was to make something really high energy and intense. I wanted it to feel like straight adrenaline. The more and more I delve into electronic music I’m starting to dabble in thinking of songs as tools to tell a story within a dj set.”
‘UGETME?’ is available now to stream on all major platforms.
We’ve covered Arky Waters previously: ‘Ay Papi,’ ‘Moth,’ ‘Roadkilla,’ ‘Blessings,’ ‘We Ain’t Like Dem,’ ‘Hercules,’ ‘Gum,’ and ‘Take My Time.’
