Arky Waters Unveils Energetic Techno Offering ‘Gum’ from New EP
Australian newcomer Arky Waters continues to make waves fusing a distinctive blend of breakbeat and tech-house that resonates with shades of Bicep, Overmono, and Godford.
Following the recent announcement of an upcoming EP and the tantalizing preview with the debut single ‘Take My Time,’ Arky Waters emerges this week with the second offering from his forthcoming EP, a high-octane techno release titled ‘Gum.’ Written and produced by Arky Waters, the track has been masterfully mixed and mastered by Cirrus Audio with artwork from Dean Waters.
Reflecting on the inspiration behind ‘Gum,’ Arky Waters shares an anecdote:
“After COVID finished I tried to go to as many events as I could in order to support the music scene. Even on days I didn’t feel like it, I would drag myself out and go to all the local raves that were going on in Sydney – crews like Illicit, Allfriends, Pulso, City Soup, and Motorik. I’d go by myself most times but it was never a lonely experience because the communities were so open and friendly. Everyone was doing something different but they were all celebrating music. It was kind of beautiful. I ended up making this track as a tribute to that time as I was exposed to a lot of techno that I had never heard before.”
‘Gum’ is now available across all major streaming platforms via Mammal Sounds Records, showcasing Arky Waters’ commitment to encapsulating the essence of his experiences into a dynamic sonic journey.
