UK-based producer Tutara Peak collaborates with Australian singer Winifred for the ethereal and mesmerizing single ‘Orbit,’ a celestial exploration into the realms of folk and indie influences.

Tutara Peak welcomes the new year with a celestial offering, ‘Orbit,’ a collaborative piece featuring the enchanting vocals of Australian singer Winifred. Released on January 17th, 2024, via Fast Friends, the track serves as the third and final single from Tutara Peak’s upcoming EP, Of the Nescient Mind, set to debut this February.

‘Orbit’ encapsulates Tutara Peak’s signature style, characterized by lush layering, ethereal synth and guitar work, and precise melodic sensibilities. The track draws inspiration from folk and indie genres, creating a sonic experience that evolves from gentle guitar strumming and Winifred’s delicate vocals into a vibrant climax of driving drums and bright synths.

“[Tutara Peak and I] wanted ‘Orbit’ to be the kind of song you would listen to in space, it has this floating dreaminess, but also a grounding quality that brings you back to earth when you’re lost in space,” explains Winifred. “It’s about being at peace with (or absorbing) what you can’t control, what can’t/won’t change, and what will never be.” Tutara Peak adds: “Songs which house endless possibilities are the ones that inspire me the most. This was one of those, it allowed me to try ideas I don’t usually explore in my music.”

‘Orbit’ is out now, paving the way for Tutara Peak’s highly anticipated EP, Of the Nescient Mind, arriving this February.
