Brighton musical stalwarts, Trip Westerns, are set to ride back into the scene with their latest single, ‘False Start,’ a spaghetti-western-inspired anthem that marries the sounds of the past with a contemporary twist.

‘False Start’ captures the essence of overt optimism amid downbeat lyrics, urging listeners to find peace in the every day and embrace routine. Recorded in bassist Graham Nunn’s studio and mastered by Will Crumpton, the track reflects the band’s DIY spirit and collaborative effort.

Talking on the track, the band note:

“We’re happy to finally have this out. Over the course of last Summer, we played this song over in Europe and across the U.K. and people really dug it so once we got back into the studio it felt good to lay it down. I had that harmonica riff floating round for a long while and once I figured out the chords the first verse sort spilled out in one of those rare occurrences. I like to think this song is a solid representation of the band.”

‘False Start’ is out now on all streaming services.
