The London-based artist unveils a melodic critique on selfishness.

In her latest single, ‘Number One,’ rising singer-songwriter and producer Tragic Sasha confronts the inherent egotism within humanity. The track, now available for streaming via APOLLO Distribution, melodically explores the notion that, in a world where self-prioritization is key, individuals must embrace their own needs to stay ahead. Sasha’s dreamy indie sound captivates audiences as she delves into the selfish realities of life.

Sasha candidly shares the inspiration behind the track:

“This song is about the cynical realisation that everybody is in it for themselves and if you don’t do the same, you will end up at the bottom of the pile. I wrote it as always with my good friend ‘Scott Is Okay’ at a time where I felt a little lost in my relationships with other people. ‘Everybody’s looking after number one’ was the first lyric I thought of for this track.”

‘Number One’ is out now.
