Deadbeat Girl (Val Olson) returns with their dreamy new single ‘Talk Tonight’
‘Talk Tonight’ was written in Val’s childhood bedroom in Florida.
Arriving as the follow-up to recent collaborative track ‘Make Me Cry’ with Ari Abdul, ‘Talk Tonight’ also follows their June release of ‘When You Went.’ The track touches on the effects of a toxic relationship.
Sharing more, they explained:
“The song is essentially about needing constant approval from your partner and constantly needing to ‘talk things out’ to feel ‘alright.'”
“I want people to be able to find comfort in this song because being in these situations is not easy. If I can be an outlet for someone who is going through something similar, then I’ve done my job!”
