‘No Angels’ is a well-crafted, hazy affair that sees the band pick up right where they left off.

About a week ago we saw on Twitter that The Big Pink would be returning after a ten-year hiatus. The London electronic outfit was on the verge of releasing their first new music in a decade. Today that new track has arrived in the form of ‘No Angels’.

Unexpected and most certainly welcome, the song is a well-crafted, hazy affair that sees the band pick up right where they left off. The fuzzed-out song has hints of The Jesus and Mary Chain, yet is very much The Big Pink. According to Robbie Furze, the track is a labor of love in which he had to sacrifice more than he expected.

“It took sacrificing everything I’d built in London and moving to Los Angeles, a place I thought I needed to be in order to achieve my dreams, for me to realize that it was about much more than just myself. I had a moment of clarity when I understood what’s truly important and what I needed to do to get back to everything and everyone that I loved. That’s what this song is about.”

Produced by Tony Hoffer (Beck, Air, Phoenix), ‘No Angels’ is available on all streaming services.
