Sofie Winterson drops emotional new single ‘Lost You To A Boy’
Sofie Winterson releases a track about watching someone you love lose themselves in an unhealthy relationship.
Amsterdam-based musician Sofie Winterson has just released ‘Lost You To A Boy,’ the latest single from her upcoming album, Southern Skies, co-produced by Benny Sings. Sofie has been living with the track for some time now. A few years ago, she recorded it in a studio in LA before deciding to include it on her upcoming album. According to Sofie, the song is about the pain of watching someone you love lose themselves in an unhealthy relationship, which left her feeling powerless. Sofie teamed up with producer Paul Cherry to finish the track, resulting in rich vocal harmonies that add depth to the song’s emotional intensity.

“I don’t like pushing the listener too much in a direction,” Sofie says, “so if you want to see for yourself what this song is about for you, you can stop reading and start listening. But for those who do like to know; for me these lyrics are about seeing a person you love losing themselves in an unhealthy relationship and how helpless that made me feel.”
Sofie Winterson’s new single ‘Lost You To A Boy’ is out now via Excelsior Recordings. Southern Skies follows on June 9th, 2023.
