London rising star, Scout, unveils the poignant single ‘Hurt,’ offering a glimpse into their forthcoming debut EP, Everything Will Make Sense, set to release on March 1, 2024, via Sweat Entertainment.

With the release of ‘Hurt,’ Scout continues their exploration of intricate emotions and relationships, following the success of their debut single ‘The Best’ and the compelling ‘Who‘ featuring Phoebe Green. The track encapsulates a breakdown in communication, exploring the aftermath of a fractured relationship and the haunting ‘what ifs.’ Scout’s alternative-leaning pop soundscapes and cathartic lens make ‘Hurt’ a poignant and introspective addition to their evolving discography.

“‘Hurt’ is about a breakdown in communication between people leading to the premature death of a relationship and lots of what ifs.”

The debut EP, Everything Will Make Sense, promises to be a compact, emotionally charged piece of pop art, as described by Clash Magazine. The project reflects a period of personal turmoil for Scout, weaving together an eclectic range of influences and featuring previously released singles ‘Who’ and ‘The Best.’ Through the cathartic lens and alternative-leaning pop soundscapes, Scout aims to be a beacon of defiance, embracing their own worth and power as an artist.

“It’s all about trying to find something to hold on to, trying to make sense of what’s happened, and regaining a sense of self. This EP is the perspective you’re desperate for, but can’t fully access in the eye of things.”

As we anticipate the release of Scout’s debut EP on March 1, 2024, ‘Hurt’ stands as a testament to the artist’s ability to capture complex emotions in a sonically captivating way. Stay tuned for an exploration of self, relationships, and societal reflections in Everything Will Make Sense, promising an intimate and resonant experience for listeners.
