SCATTERCHILD emerges as a beacon of unfiltered expression with their latest single, ‘BLEEP TEST.’

Hailing from Manchester, the largely solo project helmed by rock powerhouse and multi-instrumentalist Jay Plent is making waves with its dynamic indie rock sound, drawing comparisons to iconic acts like The Strokes, Thom Yorke, and Interpol. Taken from their forthcoming debut album, AN EVERYDAY LANDSCAPE, scheduled for release later this year, ‘BLEEP TEST’ offers a glimpse into the album’s thematic core, drawing inspiration from the High School endurance test that escalates in intensity over time. Reflecting on the anxieties of feeling adrift amidst life’s challenges, ‘BLEEP TEST’ combines infectious indie rock melodies with Plent’s distinctive vocal delivery and groovy bass lines.

“‘BLEEP TEST’ came together in a frenzied blur, the concept emerging from a drunken conversation about the idea of a song with a constant beeping running throughout. It’s a real live favourite now, and we’re really excited to set the tone for our debut album AN EVERYDAY LANDSCAPE.”

‘BLEEP TEST’ is available now.
