Rising artist purpl drops feel-good summer anthem ‘Salad’ from upcoming EP

Rising talent purpl is again making waves with her latest release, ‘Salad,’ a feel-good summer anthem set to feature on her highly anticipated forthcoming EP. ‘Salad’ pays homage to purpl’s hometown of Bristol and its rich musical heritage. With its blend of trip-hop and 90s nostalgia, the track exudes a playful energy while delivering a heartfelt message of new love. Inspired by unconventional songwriting methods, purpl challenged herself to craft a love song using randomly selected words, resulting in a fresh and innovative composition.
Reflecting on the creative process behind ‘Salad,’ purpl shared:
“I wrote salad in the most unconventional way – I put some random words in a bag and challenged myself to write a song using the first three words I pulled out. Those words were ‘salad,’ ‘lean,’ and ‘stir.’ So using those three words I managed to write one of the best love songs I’ve ever written. Consisting of trip-hop and 90’s elements, we wanted the production to pay homage to the musical roots of Bristol – our home.”
‘Salad’ is out today. Her upcoming EP is imminent.
