Porter Robinson debuts bracing new single and music video, ‘Cheerleader’
Grammy-nominated artist Porter Robinson returns with his first new single of 2024, ‘Cheerleader.’
Written, recorded, produced, and sung by Robinson, ‘Cheerleader” is a buzzy pop anthem with a blistering synth line and a shout-along chorus. Directed by Hugh Mulhern, winner of the 2023 UKMVA Best New Director award, the video is an explosion of vibrancy and emotion. Watch the action-packed music video below.
Reflecting on the song, Robinson shares:
“When I got back in the studio for ‘Cheerleader’, I asked: what would be something that people could love with zero context — just instantaneous, universal, explosive connection? ‘Cheerleader’ is my take on bottling that feeling.”
