OK Cool release single/video ‘nissanweekends’
Chicago duo OK Cool share new single/video ‘nissanweekends.’
Last time we heard from OK Cool they had just announced their upcoming EP Fawn and shared their single ‘normal c.’ Today the Chicago-based duo have released another new track entitled ‘nissanweekends.’ The track sees the duo feature a bouncy bassline coupled with their shimmering fuzzed-out vocals and guitars.
“‘nissanweekends’ was written about the monotony of work and the stress that comes with balancing your time around it” explains the band’s Haley Blomquist. “It can feel like a waste of time to not be productive when there’s so many plates I’m trying to balance at once, ultimately making it hard to ever relax without feeling like ‘if I lay down, the earth will open up and leave me.'”
Accompanying the track is a delightful stop-motion animated video created by Joe Baughman.
‘nissanweekends’ is out today. Fawn arrives on April 28th via Take a Hike Records.
