My Best Unbeaten Brother introduces their debut mini-album Pessimistic Pizza, a new project featuring the acclaimed Ben and Adam Parker (Nosferatu D2 / Tempertwig / Superman Revenge Squad) alongside bassist Ben Fry.
Released today, My Best Unbeaten Brother delivers an urgent and emotive blend of indie rock, emo, and post-punk, setting the stage for a captivating musical journey. The lead single ‘Time on Our Hands, Spider-Man’ showcases the Parker brothers’ raw and introspective songwriting. With its direct lyricism and dynamic instrumentation, the track explores themes of fatherhood, legacy, and the enduring need for heroes in a changing world.
Guitarist and vocalist Ben Parker describes the song:
“This is about: being a father and being a son, passing on memories of years and years of processing stuff and turning it into landfill indie, how we all need a Spider-Man or a Superman, and how this doesn’t change the older you get, trying to be the Spider-Man/Superman figure for someone.”
Featuring singles like ‘Extraordinary Times’ and ‘Blues Fatigue,’ Pessimistic Pizza lauds the enduring power of music to inspire, provoke, and unite. Set for release on June 28th via Audio Antihero, this mini-album promises to deliver raw emotion and infectious energy.
