The track is pulled from his upcoming album We Could Stay, slated for release on May 17th via Extremely Pure.

Brooklyn-based electronic artist M Wagner unveils a thunderous new track with his latest single and accompanying video, ‘Never Gone.’ Pulsating with a frenetic energy, the track draws listeners into a whirlwind of distorted textures and hypnotic rhythms. Channeling the influence of acclaimed electronic act The Field, Wagner infuses the track with a contemporary frenzy, marked by extreme distortion and subtle nods to hyperpop through supersaw synths.

Reflecting on his creative process, Wagner shares:

“My background in classical music was incredibly formative for me, dating back to my earliest experiences of music. My deep love for it is something that sometimes feels both alienating and uncool, so I felt leaning into those influences might lead to something original to me. These are really personal, and even sentimental, samples, that also hopefully avoid sounding like an epigone of some other artist.”

‘Never Gone’ is available now on your favorite streaming service.
