Maine-based rising star Louisa Stancioff has unveiled her latest single, ‘Cigarette,’ off her forthcoming debut album, When We Were Looking, set to release on April 12th via Yep Roc Records.

For her latest release, Stancioff has collaborated with her friend Zack Leavitt in Los Angeles. Drawing inspiration from a tumultuous visit with an ex-lover, the track reflects on the complicated times but with a playful twist.

Stancioff shares:

“It’s a flashback to a confusing and complicated visit I had with an ex. Although some of the lyrics are wistful (’cause you’re not done with me yet’), I like that the song is generally playful and sweet, and seems to have a sense of closure to it.”

‘Cigarette’ is out now. When We Were Looking is set to release on April 12th via Yep Roc Records.
