Litche returns with his first new song of 2022, ‘Colour of You’ (feat. Anna)
Australian downtempo producer, Litche releases a new atmospheric single, ‘Colour of You’ (feat. Anna).
Litche is back. This time around the Australian electronic/downtempo producer brings along Newcastle singer/songwriter Anna for his first new song of 2022. The track is one that glistens upon each play. Litche reveals some of the interesting background about the track:
“I started writing this track in mid-2020 which I initially built around a phone recording of me playing a Kalimba, and a vocal recording that my friend Anna did in a bathroom.” He continues, “At the time of recording, we thought it would be cool to record some ad-libs and have the natural echo that a bathroom provides. I then built the track around these samples; I enjoy the process of recording lots of chords on the guitar and then rearranging them to find what suits the mood.”
Litche goes on to describe the meaning behind the song,
“To me, ‘Colour of You’ represents a dream where one person in a relationship is inspired to take on some of the best qualities and “colours” of the other person’s life in an attempt to grow and become a better version of themselves.”
The track also comes with news of a new EP, Some Songs for Someone, Somewhere to be released in July.
