Lauren Lakis shares her new single ‘Take My Hand’
Rising Austin-based shoegaze artist Lauren Lakis releases a sprawling new single ‘Take My Hand.’
Baltimore-born and Austin-based artist Lauren Lakis has released her first single since 2021’s ‘Owe You Anything (These People Edit).’ Her latest track is a reflective piece filled with lush soundscapes and drawn-out vocals that flow effortlessly throughout the three-and-a-half minutes.
Lakis describes the track:
“(the song is about) forgetting what you thought you knew, letting go, bravely opening your mind to something radically different,” proclaims the songwriter, She further asks, “what if you were wrong? Are you able to admit it? Can you shift with the ever-changing landscape of reality, or are you stuck in your ways? I found myself stepping into the unknown in many ways the past few years, forced to entertain the notion that maybe I didn’t know everything, and in that I found freedom.”
