After a brief hiatus from the music scene, Sydney-based producer Jake Edwards, the creative force behind Jantoje (pronounced “Jan toe jay”), is back with a fresh wave of indie-dance/electro-house tunes ready to define your Australian summer.

While his break may have left fans eagerly awaiting new material, the wait is finally over. Drawing inspiration from Rufus Du Sol, Hayden James, and Odesza, Jantoje is back in the game with his latest single, ‘Runaway.’ The track is from his forthcoming EP and showcases Jantoje’s signature blend of shimmering synths, infectious rhythms, and euphoric melodies, and features the soulful vocal work of Beach Season.

“Whilst writing ‘Runaway’, I was listening to 90’s and early 00’s house music with the classic M1 piano sounds. I wrote a demo using some of those sounds, but it originally had a vocal chop over it. The Beach Season boys got involved as I sent them another demo, but they top-lined over the ‘Runaway’ demo instead. These boys kill it every time! They feature on another track of mine ‘Without’.”

His new EP, is scheduled for January of 2024 via Mammal Sounds. His new single ‘Runaway’ is out today.
