HotWax releases ‘Rip It Out’
The track is the band’s last prior to the release of their debut EP A Thousand Times.
Rising UK three-piece HotWax (vocalist/guitarist Tallulah Sim-Savage, bassist/vocalist Lola Sam, and drummer Alfie Sayers) today released a new single, ‘Rip It Out,’ ahead of their debut EP A Thousand Times, out this Friday, May 19th via Marathon Artists. The track is a high-energy affair dedicated to raising awareness about women’s reproductive issues.
“‘Rip It Out’ is the darkest song I have ever written. The lyrics came to me so fast, at a time I was feeling psychotic due to the contraceptive implant. I wanted to create a dramatic, theatrical, melancholic-sounding piece, which Lola put together perfectly,” explains Sim-Savage. “I hope it resonates with women who have gone through a similar thing and raises awareness about how contraception needs to be updated.”
‘Rip It Out’ is out now. HotWax’s debut EP A Thousand Times, is out this Friday, May 19th, via Marathon Artists.
