Green Gardens share ‘Things I Didn’t Do’
Leeds art-rock outfit Green Gardens return with a new single & video for ‘Things I Didn’t Do.’
Leeds art-rock quartet Green Gardens has released their first new music of 2023. Follow up to their sophomore EP Goodnight, Greenrot from 2022, ‘Things I Didn’t Do’ builds on the previous release while venturing into a slightly new guitar-centric sonic territory.
Chris Aitchison (vocals, guitar) on ‘Things I Didn’t Do’:
“‘Things I Didn’t Do’ was written almost as chaotically as it ended up sounding. I’d just finished writing another track but felt like I had so much more to say. I felt furious on behalf of the characters from these songs, and let this lie underneath the process of putting this song together. It’s driven by the crunching guitars, with the rest of the song falling into place around them. It’s the closest to outward aggression that we get on the record.”
The new release is available today and kicks off their relationship with the award-winning label Come Play With Me as part of their partnership with the groundbreaking new EMI North.
