The Bristol-based alternative band breathes new life into 2023 as they release their second single of the year.

Follow-up to late August’s ‘To Late To Come By,’ Bristol-based duo Glass Violet has released their second single of 2023. Taken from their upcoming 8-track EP set for release in early 2024, ‘Oxygen Machine’ dives into themes of nostalgia and the end of youth.

Here’s Alex John (producer and guitars) discussing the track and how it became the linchpin of the project:

“‘Oxygen Machine’ is the second track from our upcoming 8-track EP, and it’s also the song that started the whole project. Until I landed on this idea, I was unsure of the exact direction to take things and hadn’t yet found what I wanted to write about. The song opened up a vault in my brain that I then dived deeper into for lyrical content for the rest of the EP.”

‘Oxygen Machine’ is out now. Their forthcoming EP is due out in early 2024.
