Emerging from the Paris punk scene, French garage and egg-punk outfit Flippeur have released their second single, ‘Boo,’ out now via Howlin’ Banana Records.

Following their debut track ‘Pacman,’ ‘Boo’ showcases Flippeur’s fast, quirky, and DIY-driven sound. At 200 bpm, the track surges with pounding drums, a bassline on the edge of short-circuiting, and jittery guitar riffs that channel pure, shake-inducing energy. Sung in French, the lyrics approach themes of loneliness and the gaze of others with a naïve perspective, centering on Boo—the innocent little ghost who, despite his harmlessness, frightens everyone away. Alone in his mansion, Boo wanders unseen, since no one dares to meet his eyes.

Flippeur describes themselves as:

“a shooting star that merges for a moment with earthlings,”

‘Boo’ is out now.
