Flippeur ignites the Paris punk scene with blistering debut single ‘Pacman’

Parisian egg punk outfit Flippeur has made its official debut with a high-octane new single ‘Pacman.’ Formed in the spring of 2025, the five-piece—Yacine, Léopold, Sandy, Bérénice, and Hugo—arrive with a mission: to deliver fast, DIY punk rock that buzzes with goofy energy and a flash of emotional depth.
Drawing inspiration from the egg punk genre, Flippeur’s sound is a kaleidoscopic frenzy of tremoring guitars, galloping basslines, spinning drum beats clocking in at 200 bpm, and synths that whistle like cosmic warnings. The band’s French lyrics add another layer of surreal poetry, capturing fleeting thoughts and fears as if from a shooting star crashing into Earth’s atmosphere. Their music doesn’t pretend to be polished—instead, it proudly celebrates its imperfections, leaning into spontaneity and raw emotion.
Flippeur describes themselves as “a shooting star that merges for a moment with earthlings.” That sense of wonder and brevity is infused in their work, especially in this first single, which promises listeners a ticket into their colorful, imaginative universe.
‘Pacman’ is out now.
