After two decades of musical exploration, FINK embarks on a back-to-basics journey with their upcoming album, Beauty In Your Wake.

Newly released single ‘What Would You Call Yourself’ sets the stage for FINK’s eighth studio album, offering a glimpse into their introspective and philosophical songwriting. The track, released alongside a captivating video, invites listeners to contemplate the power of language and self-identity. With its confident riffs and expansive sound, the single serves as a fitting opener for the album, showcasing FINK’s evolution while staying true to their roots.

Greenall says of the track:

“If you were alone in this world, what would you call yourself? Without the pressure of others, how would you see yourself? ‘What Would You Call Yourself’ is about the power of language and the pointlessness of names, brands, and gimmicks. It’s about identity but from within yourself, not your identity in relation to others.”

The album, slated for release on July 5th, marks a return to their Cornish roots and promises a raw and introspective sonic experience. Recorded in the picturesque village of Zennor, Cornwall, Beauty In Your Wake promises to capture the essence of FINK’s journey over the past 27 years. Singer-songwriter Fin Greenall, along with bandmates Tim Thornton and Guy Whittaker, immersed themselves in a secluded environment to craft an album that reflects their collective vision. Produced by Grammy Award-winning engineer Sam Okell, the album is said to push the boundaries of FINK’s sound, blending elements of folk, soul, and indie rock into a cohesive sonic tapestry.

Lead single ‘What Would You Call Yourself’ is out now. Beauty In Your Wake is scheduiled for release on July 5th.
