Eden Rain announces debut EP Gutter Vision / Releases ‘Bed (For A Year).’

Leeds-born artist Eden Rain has released her first single of 2023. The track is an intricate pop song built around her pitch-perfect vocals and clever lyrics.

Here’s Eden talking about the background and history of how the track came to be:

“About 10 years ago, when I was in high school, I was given a book called ‘The Woman Who Went To Bed For A Year’. It was written by Sue Townsend and it sat on my bookshelf for a really long time and I didn’t actually read it, I just always stared at the cover of the book from my bed. When I was sad, (classic) for an extended period of time (depressed), I found that I couldn’t stay away from my bed. I read the book then because I was like ‘ugh, wish I could be in bed for a year’, and it’s about a married woman whose twin children move away from home and she goes to bed for a year and doesn’t leave. And so that’s what the book is and what the song is based on, in a nutshell. I return to the book (and the bed) when life gets hard and I wanted to write an ode to that<3."

‘Bed (For A Year)’ is available today. Her debut EP Gutter Vision is set for release on May 19th.
