Embrace the fresh vibes of Earthquake Lights’ latest single, ‘January,’ as the NYC-based rock outfit navigates the path to catharsis and relief.

Earthquake Lights, a dynamic four-piece band hailing from New York City, have released their second single of 2024. Follow-up to January’s ‘Heartbeat,’ the track was written by poet Andy Axel. The lyrics play with the metaphor of birds flying south for the winter. In this narrative, a bird ventures south in January, surviving the harsh winter through determination and a willingness to move forward.

Lead singer Myles Rodenhouse shares insight into ‘January,’ stating:

“This song is about maturing and understanding mistakes you’ve made. Pursuing whoever you want to be now instead of what your former self wanted. It’s not about it working out, it’s about being where you want to be.”

‘January’ is out now on all streaming services.
