18-year-old Madrid musician, DORA releases a new single, ‘Te Vas’
Fresh on the heels of her debut EP, Sin Prisa No Quiero Morir, DORA releases ‘Te Vas,’ an indulgent summer track sure to increase your heart rate.
18-year-old Madrid artist, DORA has released her latest single, ‘Te Vas.’ Produced by Pional (The xx, John Talabot, Empress Of) the track follows her debut EP, Sin Prisa No Quiero Morir from April. Effortlessly traversing between English and Spanish, DORA explains what drove the inspiration for the song:
“‘Te Vas’ is pure pre-summer hedonism. I just finished high school, passed all my exams and in 15 days I’m leaving with my two best friends to explore Europe. This is all real. They are the ones who appear in this wonderful video directed by artist Rafa Castells. This song is my way of celebrating, one cycle closes and another begins—fireworks! But always with one foot in the shade, as I like.”
Hand-picked to represent Spain in Spotify’s global emerging-artist program RADAR, DORA has since graced the cover of Vogue España as well as being chosen by Apple Music to participate in their Up Next program following acts such as Rosalía, Billie Eilish, and Bad Bunny.
DORA has several festival dates coming later in 2022:
July 16 – Spain – Musas En El Jardín Festival, Málaga
July 29 – Spain – Low Festival, Benidorm
August 4 – Spain – Covaleda Festival, Soria
‘Te Vas’ is out now. Make sure to check back regularly over the rest of the year as DORA has promised new music will continue to be released.
