Essex-based five-piece Black Pines have returned to announce the release of their latest single ‘Run and Hide.’ Taken from their forthcoming EP Bodies, the track follows previously released tracks ‘Death Ballad,’ and ‘Worlds Apart.’

Their newest single ‘Run and Hide’ is a lively alt-rock track, showcasing the band’s raw talent – strong vocals, tight percussion and a strong bassline. The single highlights their heavy new sound and weaves the tale of the frustrations of being in a toxic and chaotic relationship which you’re trying to break free from, although you seemingly always end up returning to the scene of the crime.

Speaking of their latest single, they said:

“The track was actually the first song we wrote for this EP. In some ways, it bridges the gap between our last EP and this one. It starts simple and illusive but hits you like a bullet in the chorus. Ridiculous riffing and unrelenting belted vocals – that seems to be where we sit comfortably now.”

‘Run and Hide’ is out now.
