Arny Margret releases new single ‘i went outside’
Icelandic singer/songwriter Arny Margret has announced her new EP dinner alone and shares ethereal, lush lead single ‘i went outside.’
Arny Margret, an Icelandic singer/songwriter, has announced the upcoming release of her latest EP, dinner alone. Set for release on September 22nd, 2023, the EP will be released through One Little Independent Records. Today, Margret has unveiled the lead single, ‘i went outside,” which showcases a captivating and ethereal sound. In her own words, Margret describes the track is about “going through things, making mistakes, and accepting that I’m not perfect.”
Here’s Margret expressing her excitement about the EP:
“The EP is different than anything I’ve done. I push my voice more, I even scream at one point,” says Margret. “The title track is the first song I’ve ever actually written broadly on piano. One of the tracks is so short and doesn’t even have a chorus, it’s not the way you’d typically write a song. One track is played with a full band–it’s so much fuller, but it’s also much more raw. Through all the tracks on the EP, I think it’s about figuring something out about myself. A lot of them are about me and how I am as a person, and what I do.”
‘i went outside’ is available today. dinner alone is set for release on September 22nd, 2023, and will be released through One Little Independent Records.
