Irish singer-songwriter Annika Kilkenny unveils her latest single, “Stone’s Throw Away,” a reflection on distance and longing.

‘Stone’s Throw Away’ delves into the emotional turmoil of being separated from loved ones, a sentiment many can relate to. Written during Annika’s first year at university, the song captures the overwhelming feeling of being far from home and missing the comfort of family.

Annika reflects:

“I remember sitting in the piano practice room and feeling so overwhelmed by being so far away from the people I love. My family are my rock and a group of humans I care about deeply, so naturally I found it difficult to adjust to the reality of us not being around each other often.” Multitasking at its finest, she notes the first draft of the song was written “whilst crying simultaneously.”

‘Stone’s Throw Away’ can be found on all streaming services.
