Glaswegian singer-songwriter Alex Amor releases an upbeat and vibrant track, ‘Bad Tattoo.’

Scottish sing-songwriter Alex Amor, fresh off the road after supporting Thomas Headon on his recent UK tour, has released an upbeat and vibrant new track, ‘Bad Tattoo.’ The track produced by Gianluca Buccellati (known for his work on Arlo Parks’ Mercury Prize-winning album Collapsed In Sunbeams) also comes with news of a new EP dropping in mid-October entitled The Art Of Letting Go.

Written with Manchester indie-folk group The Deep Blue ‘Bad Tattoo’ swirls with the recollection of a relationship gone bad.

Speaking on the lyrical inspiration of the track, Alex said:

“‘Bad Tattoo’ was written about a time when I wanted to forget someone. They kept making unwanted appearances in my thoughts across the day: while I was walking home, doing chores, lying in bed awake at night. I find it bizarre how it’s much easier to forget the good times but impossible to forget the bad times. It seems that our worst memories are stored somewhere deep inside of us and as much as I wanted to erase this person from my head, they persisted on my skin like a bad tattoo. Like one of those drunken tattoos you get in Ibiza at 3 am and regret for the rest of your life.”

Alex Amor’s new single ‘Bad Tattoo’ is out now. The Art Of Letting Go is set for release on 14th October via Young Poet.
