French electro-pop duo Agar Agar has released their latest single, ‘Trouble’
In their first new music in more than two years, French electronic duo Agar Agar has released a formidable and fast-moving track, ‘Trouble.’
Fluctuating through elements of Jungle, Rave, and Synthwave, the Parisian synth-pop duo consisting of Clara Cappagli and Armand Bultheel continue to push the limits of where their sound can take them.
On their latest release, ‘Trouble,’ the French pair return to their unique sounds heard in previous recordings. Clara’s English-sung vocals delightfully overlay on top of Armand’s hyper-aggressive synth and drum machine that together are reminiscent of the mid-90s electronic/pop scene. Prepare for shifting soundscapes over the four-minute dance track.
The duo explains what’s behind the track:
“We wrote ‘Trouble’ during a period of extreme boredom. It’s a track that talks about being confined within a limited space, the need to escape those borders, and the overwhelming weariness we feel when there’s no way out.”
‘Trouble’ is available today via Cracki Records.
