Girl Scout, the Stockholm, Sweden-based indie rock band, has released their new single ‘Crumbs,’ out now via the AWAL label. The track serves as the fourth and final preview of the group’s debut album, Brink, following the release of previous singles ‘Same Kids,’ ‘Operator,’ and ‘Keeper.’

The new track is a guitar-driven indie rock piece that was mixed by Alex Farrar, known for his work with artists such as Wednesday and Snail Mail. Lyrically, ‘Crumbs’ offers a biting critique of the music industry, exploring the social encounters and professional interactions encountered while on the road. The sound reflects the band’s interest in 80s and 90s garage rock and Brit-pop, moving from their origins as jazz students to a more soaring, alternative sound.

Girl Scout’s Emma Jansson says about the track:

“We’ve met a lot of people on the road who work with or around music on some level. A lot of them don’t seem to like music, or people really. But they do like being on guest lists and paying for beers.”

‘Crumbs’ is available now on all streaming platforms.
