Swedish band Girl Scout unveils their third EP, Headache, a project that dives into the intense feelings of frustration, guilt, and angst that make up life’s messier moments.

Produced by: Alex Farrar

Produced by Alex Farrar, Headache presents a collection of tracks that expand on the band’s prismatic indie rock style, showcasing Girl Scout’s growth as they refine their layered, emotive sound.

The EP is structured around the highs and lows of inner turmoil. From the infectious ‘Honey’ to the brooding title track ‘Headache,’ the band takes listeners on a journey through various emotional landscapes. Girl Scout captures the frustration that arises seemingly out of nowhere, like “the weird feeling in the pit of your stomach that you wake up with for no reason.” The EP’s closing track, ‘I’m So Sorry,’ delivers a powerful finish, with vocalist Emma Jansson repeating apologies that crescendo into cathartic howls, bringing the EP to a visceral climax.

Summing up the project, Jansson states:

“Headache is AAAAAAAAH!!!!!! THAT feeling. Straight-up hate and frustration. Feeling hurt and feeling funny about people. Feeling funny about life as a whole. Consider our gears ground. (But in a funny way).”

With Headache, Girl Scout tackles universal emotions with authenticity and grit, making this release both a personal and relatable listening experience.

Standout Songs: ‘Desert Island Movies,’ ‘Headache,’ and ‘I Just Needed You To Know.’

Release Date: November 8
