SCHØØL have released their debut album I think my life has been OK, out now via Géographie.

Produced by: SCHØØL

Formed in Paris in 2023, SCHØØL brings together Francis Mallari (Rendez-Vous), Erica Ashleson (Special Friend, Dog Park), Jack Moase (Liquid Face), and Alex Battez (Marble Arch). Inspired by the shoegaze of the 1990s, their journey began with the single ‘N.S.M.L.Y.D’ in May 2024, a track defined by an absurdly catchy synth riff and themes of teenage awkwardness, obsessive love, and indie pop nostalgia. Follow-up singles ‘The End’ and ‘Gardener’ have expanded their sonic palette, exploring alienation, social anxiety, and melancholic introspection. Together, they laid the groundwork for the band’s first full-length record.

Recorded between Paris, Grenoble, and Berlin, I think my life has been OK captures the chemistry of a band that was long in the making. From abrasive pop to hazy shoegaze textures and lo-fi bursts of raw energy, the album spans ten tracks with each song reflecting a different mood and style. The LP stands as a bold statement of intent for a group ready to push their sound forward. I think my life has been OK is out now under the label Géographie (Marble Arch, Bad Pelicans, Dog Park, and Good Morning TV.)
