Norwegian-English newcomer Debora releases her debut EP, a compelling study of life’s journey.

Produced by: Bård Bonsaksen and John William Haugland

Ever since her debut single ‘Oh Maybe’ captivated audiences in the fall of 2022, Debora has been quietly rising in the ranks. With her distinct vocals and candid perspective on life’s hurdles, encompassing themes of identity, doubt, and uncertainty, this Norwegian-English artist has recently unveiled her highly anticipated debut EP, Too Caught Up In The Little Things.

The EP serves as a vehicle for exploring the intricate themes and complex situations that arise during the transition from youth to adulthood. Sonically, the EP traverses a diverse landscape, ranging from vibrant, pop-forward anthems like ‘Oh Maybe’ and ‘Who Am I’ to more organic, folk-inspired tracks such as ‘Wild’ and ‘Jealous Girlfriend.’ The EP boasts production from Bård Bonsaksen and John William Haugland, with songwriting credits shared between Debora and John William Haugland.

One of the more compelling tracks is her latest single, ‘Jealous Girlfriend.’ On it, Debora showcases a delicate side as her vocals intertwine with acoustic guitars and rousing melodies. Thematically, the song delves into the treacherous territory of jealousy that often stems from feelings of insecurity. Musically, you can detect clear influences from artists such as Holly Humberstone and Phoebe Bridgers.

Debora explains:

“Some of the songs on the EP were written in 2019, and some were finished in 2023. A lot has happened during that time, and I love that the music shows the journey through my early twenties – both the ups and the downs. I believe many people can relate to the insecurity and doubt as well as the joy and freedom expressed in the songs.”

Too Caught Up In The Little Things is available today on all streaming services.
