Filipino-American musician Aisa has released a serene 3-track EP fresh on the heels of his recent collaboration, ‘time 4 u, with Saara Nishat. The EP, entitled my mind, may only be three tracks deep and 10 minutes long, but within those 10 minutes Aisa undoubtedly takes you on a heartfelt journey via his sublime soundscapes. The Las Vegas musician reels you in with his smooth voice and serene musical accompaniments.
Aisa explains how my mind recounts of his voyage through the different stages of love:
“When I was working on my mind there were a lot of things just sorta floating around in my head. Like I had a lot going on at the time and I had a lot to think about, and I wanted my mind to be the product of all that. ‘all day’ is really a song about infatuation- a song about not being able to get a person out of your head no matter how hard you try… It’s a song about uncertainty yet having the courage to still pursue this special someone. ‘love language’ is a song about wanting to be on the same page as somebody else. ‘bebop’ is about wanting to know what makes somebody tick, what makes somebody feel at home. When I start talking to somebody (romantically) I wanna know all these sorta things.”
