Zero Point Energy announce debut album Tilted Planet / Release lead single ‘Over My Head’

Brooklyn duo Zero Point Energy, comprised of Genesis Edenfield and Ben Jackson, formerly of the beloved Atlanta band Warehouse, announce their much-anticipated debut album, Tilted Planet, set to release on May 17th, 2024, via Danger Collective Records.
As a prelude to their debut, Zero Point Energy treat listeners to the lush and immersive lead single, ‘Over My Head.’ Departing from the energy of Warehouse, the duo embraces a softer, pop-infused palette. The track, one of Edenfield’s early compositions, evolves into an introspective love song, exploring themes of idealization and transformation.
“This is one of the first songs I ever wrote on guitar about seven years ago. I was trying to write a really great love song. I was thinking of ‘For You’ by Roky Erickson. Over the years it’s changed meaning for me–it’s more almost an embarrassing expose on how I view love, especially idealization, but we decided to keep it just because it is a good song.”
As Tilted Planet promises a rich tapestry of literal and esoteric transformations, ‘Over My Head’ serves as a tantalizing glimpse into the duo’s evolved sound.
