Zero Point Energy shares powerful new single and video ‘Disintegration’

Zero Point Energy shares their latest single and video, ‘Disintegration,’ ahead of their debut LP release, Tilted Planet, out this Friday, May 17th on Danger Collective Records.
Led by the dynamic duo of Genesis Edenfield and Ben Jackson, formerly of Warehouse, Zero Point Energy delivers a powerful message of processing and healing from betrayal, infused with charged vocals and atmospheric instrumentation. In ‘Disintegration,’ Genesis Edenfield channels his personal experiences into a narrative that explores the titanic effects of betrayal trauma.
Written during a moment of profound introspection, Edenfield reveals:
“This is a song I made for my father. I hadn’t talked to him in seven years at that point. I wrote it on mushrooms in one fell swoop, except for the ending—that took longer. It poured out of me. I had always wondered if he would ever listen to Zero Point Energy one day. I hoped he might listen to it and, unexpectedly, hear this letter I wrote to him tucked in there.
“It is about the titanic effects of betrayal trauma. It is certainly about rage. It is about losing myself and my identity for years, all because of someone else.”
‘Disintegration’ joins previous LP singles such as the band’s self-proclaimed trans anthem ‘Closer To You,’ the jangly ‘All That You Want,’ and shimmering ‘Over My Head.’
Tilted Planet represents a culmination of four years of collaboration and introspection for Genesis Edenfield and Ben Jackson, as they rediscover the magic of their musical partnership. Recorded in Brooklyn with engineer Matt Labozza and featuring Jimmy Sullivan on bass and Nick Corbo on drums, the album is a testament to rebirth and reinvention, showcasing the resilience and creativity of Zero Point Energy.
