Wishy shares dreamy new single ‘Planet Popstar’ amidst global tour
Wishy has released ‘Planet Popstar,’ an ethereal new single from the sessions for their debut LP Triple Seven, out now on Winspear.
On ‘Planet Popstar,’ Wishy taps into a sense of yearning and longing for someone or something that feels distant yet tantalizingly close. Recorded during the Triple Seven sessions, the song didn’t make the final cut for the album, but it embodies the same immersive, shoegaze-inspired production that has defined Wishy’s sound.
Wishy’s Kevin Krauter explains:
“This song is about the feeling of longing for someone or something which, by all accounts, seems entirely out of reach. They say distance makes the heart grow fonder.”
