Villagerrr drift into reflection on ‘Swimming’
Villagerrr share their new single ‘Swimming,’ offering a reflective preview of their upcoming LP Carousel, out May 29 via Winspear.
‘Swimming’ leans into Villagerrr’s signature blend of slowcore, shoegaze, and indie rock, anchored by a steady, introspective rhythm and layered instrumentation. Featuring Zack Wiggs on pedal steel, the track balances atmosphere and clarity, with Scott’s vocals guiding a contemplative tone.
“(Swimming is) a song about learning to communicate, express, and process your emotions in a healthy way.”
‘Swimming’ is out now on all streaming platforms, with Carousel arriving May 29 via Winspear.
We’ve covered villagerrr previously: ‘Locket,’ and ‘Ride or Die.’
