Triples share ‘Be Around’
Triples release their new single ‘Be Around’ today, marking the Toronto-based project’s first release since signing to Bleak Enterprise and arriving ahead of the upcoming EP Every Good Story, out January 30, 2026, via the newly launched Toronto label.
‘Be Around’ introduces Triples at their most buoyant, blending the streamlined punch of late ’90s pop punk with the looser, homespun feel of early ’90s indie rock. The track balances bright guitar hooks and melodic immediacy with a slacker-pop charm, drawing clear lineage from influences like Sebadoh and Beat Happening while recalling the modern guitar-pop sensibilities of bands such as Best Coast and Beach Bunny. The song reflects Triples’ knack for pairing emotional undercurrents with an accessible, glossy sound that never feels overworked.
Speaking about the single, Eva Link says:
“When I was just starting to date my BF, I was working at this cafe and I was daydreaming about him and I burned my hands so badly on the panini press because I was so distracted. But I didn’t even care! It felt like nothing bad that happened mattered because I felt so good and comforted by being in this relationship. How can my heart beat when I’m always thinking of you? I would defer thinking about other things going on in my life to the point where I was not prioritizing myself, and after that ‘honeymoon period’ I felt a bit disoriented with my sense of self.””
‘Be Around’ is now available on all major streaming platforms.
