Toronto coldwave duo Traitrs return after four years with their haunting new single ‘Burn In Heaven,’ out September 26, 2025.

Marking their first new music since 2021’s Horses In The Abattoir, ‘Burn In Heaven’ explores religious extremism, possession, and the clash between faith and science. Produced by longtime collaborator Josh Korody and mastered by Grammy winner Matt Colton, the track opens with thunderous motorik drum beats, building a relentless atmosphere of dread and catharsis. Bellowing vocals rise against dense synths and jagged guitars, crafting a retro-futurist darkwave anthem filled with cinematic tension.

The band explains:

“The song deals with possession and the extremities of faith vs science. It examines the instilled religious beliefs where people think they’re going to get a pardon by god for horrifying acts when they get to heaven. It’s this idea that shaped the entirety of our new record.”

‘Burn In Heaven’ is out now.
