Sasha candidly shares the inspiration behind the track:
“This song is about the cynical realisation that everybody is in it for themselves and if you don’t do the same, you will end up at the bottom of the pile. I wrote it as always with my good friend ‘Scott Is Okay’ at a time where I felt a little lost in my relationships with other people. ‘Everybody’s looking after number one’ was the first lyric I thought of for this track.”
