Tora Luna dives into surreal heartache on ‘Venus, Temptress’ featuring ANELIE

Tora Luna has unveiled their latest single, ‘Venus, Temptress’ featuring Franco-Malaysian alt-pop artist ANELIE, ahead of their debut EP Springtide Moonride, due out July 18th.
The track, born from a Camberwell songwriting session sparked by a stimulus card reading “monster,” sees the indie collective explore the unraveling of a once-loving relationship into something darker and more disorienting. Opening with loungey, jazz-tinted intimacy, the song gradually expands into layered indie folk-pop charting a descent into obsession and emotional confusion.
Alex explains:
“I really wanted to create something that felt quite intimate with a lot of room sounds. I remember describing it to the guys in the studio as being like walking into a room and watching somebody have a private moment to themselves, then you sort of fall into their head and it all gets a bit psychedelic.”
ANELIE notes the track delves into:
“how being caught up in your own thoughts can lead to conflicting emotions — even feelings of resentment toward the other person, born not from reality, but from the distance and the echo chamber of one’s inner voice.”
‘Venus, Temptress’ featuring ANELIE is available to listen to starting today.
