Tiberius shares ‘Felt’ from forthcoming album Troubadour

Boston-based “Farm Emo” band Tiberius have released ‘Felt,’ the second single from their upcoming label debut album Troubadour, out November 14 via Audio Antihero.
Originally a solo project for songwriter Brendan Wright (they/them), Tiberius has evolved into a four-piece blending indie punk, alt-country, and psychedelia with raw, conversational lyrics. Following the July release of the lead single ‘Sag,’ which drew praise from local and international outlets and airplay from BBC Radio Scotland, WNYU, and more, ‘Felt’ continues to expand the band’s sound.
The song is a sonically dynamic meditation on heartbreak and the lives of strangers, mixing Midwest emo urgency with alt-country warmth. Wright explains:
“When I wrote ‘Felt,’ I was fairly fresh out of a breakup and was spending a lot of time looking for distractions. Instead of tackling some bigger questions and engaging in a healthy recovery, I was tucking away my feelings into compartments and distracting myself with casual dating. I was spending some late nights slipping into the backstories of strangers’ lives – exhilarating, but merely theatrical. It never eased the issue at hand. I was alone, and I was terrified to sit with that.”
Ahead of Troubadour, Tiberius is hitting the road starting July 31 with stops in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois, including appearances at The Rockwell Theatre, Bar Freda, and The Rat City Artists Festival.
